Tori and Samuel Adamson's new musical The Light Princess opens at the Lyttleton Theatre, London on Oct 9th
It will be directed by Marianne Elliot who leads an award winning creative team that includes Rae Smith (Design) Paulie Constable (Lighting) Steven Hoggett (Choreography) Martin Lowe (Musical Supervision) and with Vocal Arrangements by Tori and Martin Lowe and Musical arrangements by John Philip Shenale.
The Cast includes Rosalie Craig as Althea and Nick Hendrix as Digby.
THE LIGHT PRINCESS is a dark fairytale about grief, rebellion and the power of love.
Once in opposing kingdoms lived a princess and a prince who had lost their mothers. Althea, unable to cry, became light with grief and floated, and so was locked away. Digby became so heavy-hearted that he could never smile, and so was trained as a warrior.
One day, he declares war. Althea is forced out of hiding and down to ground but, in defiance of her father, she escapes, only to encounter the solemn prince on contested land. Beside a lake the warring heirs begin a passionate and illicit affair. But for Althea to find real love, she must first confront the world.s darkness and face her own deepest fears.

Tori has re-imagined a personally hand-picked collection of songs spanning her entire catalogue with the thirteenth studio album, Gold Dust. Produced by Tori with arrangements by long-time collaborator John Philip Shenale, the new album features re-workings of songs in orchestral settings, which Tori recorded in the studio with the renowned Metropole Orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley.
"My relationship with all of these songs has changed over the years and they have changed my life. So it wasn't just about capturing the past it was about realizing that the songs had a new narrative now - 10 or 20 years later than they did when I originally recorded them," Tori comments.
Tori will also be doing a very limited number of amazing orchestral shows.

Each month, Pepsi contributes $1.3 million to worthy causes across the country through the Pepsi Refresh Project. This September, RAINN is competing for a $250,000 grant from Pepsi to expand their Online Hotline (OHL) to Spanish-speaking victims of sexual assault. By removing the language barriers that often inhibit Spanish-speaking victims of rape from getting the immediate help that they need, the RAINN Online Hotline would help thousands more victims each year.
From September 1st-September 30th, RAINN will compete with over 1,000 other worthy organizations to gain the most number of votes for their idea. If RAINN gets the highest number of votes, they will be awarded $250,000 and will be able to expand their Online Hotline to serve Spanish-speaking victims.
On a cold December night in New York City, Tori Amos played a private solo concert for one hundred fans at the historic Park Avenue Armory, an immense historical landmark built in the late 19th century as both a military facility and a social club. Described as “Greek, Moresque, and Celtic with a dash of the Egyptian, the Persian, and the Japanese,” the Armory’s ornate Veterans Room provided a fitting setting for Tori’s intimate performance.
Tori Amos: Live from the Artists Den captures this once-in-a-lifetime performance featuring both hits and fan favorites spanning Tori’s catalogue, from her 1991 debut Little Earthquakes to her 2009 album Abnormally Attracted to Sin - including two songs not shown in the television broadcast.
